When you submit a project inquiry, this may include your first and last name, email address, company, organization or project name, the services you are interested in, information about your project, your timing, approximate budget and language preference.
When you subscribe to our newsletter, this may include your email address, your first name if you choose to provide it, your language preference and information used to document your subscription, such as its source, date and the version of the consent notice presented to you.
For website operation and security, certain technical information may also be processed by our infrastructure and abuse-prevention services.
3. How we use this information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to inquiries;
- understand and assess your project;
- communicate with you about a project or ongoing inquiry;
- manage newsletter subscriptions and communications you have agreed to receive;

Cloudflare, for hosting or running portions of the website, security and abuse prevention;
Resend, for delivering project inquiries and managing certain email communications.
Some providers may process or host information outside Canada. When this occurs, information may be subject to the laws applicable in the jurisdictions where it is processed.
Maison of Kind remains responsible for personal information under its control and takes reasonable steps when selecting and using service providers.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or to meet applicable legal obligations.
As a general rule:
Inquiries that do not become client relationships: up to 12 months after our last interaction.
Prospects with an active discussion or proposal: during the discussion and for up to 12 months after our last interaction, unless a particular need requires otherwise.
Client records: during the relationship and for as long as reasonably necessary for project follow-up and applicable administrative, contractual or legal obligations.
Newsletter: for as long as you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we may retain the minimum information necessary to document and honour your choice and meet applicable obligations.
Once information is no longer required, it is appropriately deleted, destroyed or anonymized where applicable.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, disclosure or modification.
Access is limited to people and service providers who require the information for the intended purposes.
